Coresential (formerly known as GCA/EMS) is one of the Southeast's most established businesses representing manufacturer's product lines for electrical, lighting and communications.
With a solid history tracing back to 1987, Coresential has grown through natural expansion, acquisitions and mergers into the respected company it is today.
Coresential's most recent expansion came through the June 1, 2009 merger of GCA of Tampa, Florida and Electrical Marketing Services of Altamonte Springs, Florida. Combining these two organizations provided for a stronger line of products, an increased sales staff, and a wider reach of service.
GCA/EMS formally changed its name to Coresential in January 2011 to position the company for additional growth and expansion. Today Coresential covers the entire state of Florida, the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
Founding principal John Gunn (still actively involved in daily operations) established Gunn-Creel & Associates, Inc. along with George Creel in 1988. The name of the company was changed to "GCA" following George Creel's retirement in 2000. Concurrently, Joe Tumlin (then Sales Manager) was elevated to a partner position with GCA. Joe remains a principal of the company and serves as Vice President of the Commercial Division. In 2004 GCA acquired Griffin Electrical Sales, doubling the company in size. This growth established the base for the 2009 merger with Electrical Marketing Services (EMS), a company founded by Joe Yore in 1987 and later purchased by his son James (Jamey) Yore in 2005. Jamey Yore continues to be strategically involved as a principal and serves as Vice President-Industrial.
Coresential serves wholesalers and end-users and provides manufacturers, distributors and contractors with technical expertise, bilingual, experienced and knowledgeable staff, with the highest standards of service.
